South Midlands Land and Planning Network
 

A network for land and planning young professionals

Our South Midlands land and planning network is a regional network group, which covers: Milton Keynes, Northampton/shire, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Aylesbury, Luton, Cambridge/shire and the surrounding area. 

 

The network aims to support young professionals to make business connections and improve their professional development as well as inspiring the next generation to work specifically within land and planning. The network is open to everyone and individuals who could find this network particularly useful may work in the  following areas:

 

  • New Business

  • Site Acquisition (S106 and Land Led)

  • Planning Policy

  • Development/Viability Finance

  • Design, Engineers, Consultants, Contractors, and Sales/Estate Agencies

  • Paralegals/Solicitors in residential teams

Founder & Director, Building Future Leaders

I am responsible for running the company and decided to start a Building Future Leaders in Land and Planning Group after having previously worked at Taylor Wimpey South Midlands as an Assistant Land & Planning Manager and realising it would be beneficial for young professionals to network across the South Midlands region.

I recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University having studied Planning and Property Development and was proud to have been awarded the Top Performing Student Award. My interests include valuation, development planning and land law.

Land Buyer, Persimmon Homes 

My role is to support the Land Director to identify and assess land opportunities and assist in planning, technical and financial appraisals of sites. This involves collating information from external consultants and internal departments for new opportunities as well as helping to manage exiting sites.
